I recently bought a Magellan gps and i was wondering about the battery?

I usually use the battery on the GPS. My battery once died and the only thing I hap plugged up was the GPS charger.The Magellan model I have charges itself whenever I plug it in. I just leave it plugged in while I'm driving.
I've noticed that mine doesn't last too long on battery power alone though. I don't know if all Magellan's are like that or I just have a weak battery in mine.sigh... hes talking about what is best for battery life... usually its something like charge once then let fully die then recharge
